Holiday Gift Ideas for Bookworms

Below is a list of my favorite products and apps that I have used for years and come to love. Some items would make great gifts either for yourself or the bookworm in your family. 😊

Panda Planners- These planners are super awesome! I love every Panda Planner made by this company. The paper quality is thick, so I never have issues with my gel pens bleeding through to the opposite page. I also love that the months, weeks, and days are sectioned separately, and are all undated. It’s probably the perfectionist in me that appreciates this the most. They also offer a variety of colors and sizes. Each planner also comes with a 10% discount for you and your family when using the ongoing promo code PANDAFAM. The promo code is also valid at Amazon checkout. The VIA planner is quiet impressive and like no other planner I’ve found on the market that collaborates with the Institute of Character and Strengths, which is “considered to be among the most important outputs in positive psychology…” I’m currently using the Panda Planner venture for my business and absolutely love it.

The Paper Mate Gel InkJoy Pens, Medium Point- are my go-to pens, coupled with my Panda Planners. The point is so smooth when you’re writing, and the soft grips help reduce pressure on the fingers. These pens have never smeared, and I love the assortment of colors available.

Scribd- If you're looking for an alternative to Audible this is it! This app allows you to read and listen to unlimited audiobooks. Unlike Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited, Scribd offers newer titles as an audiobook and e-book. For example, Sophie Kinsella’s novel Christmas Shopoholic is available as an audiobook! Scribd is a paid subscription service that costs $9.99 a month. As a bookworm who loves consuming books via audio, I highly recommend this for a Christmas gift to any bookworm out there.

Shine- I recently discovered this app. I love the positive messages and articles that I get in my inbox every day from Shine and I also love that they are female minority owned small business. The daily Shine meditations have helped me cope with the daily stressors that comes with quarantine during COVID. Shine uses AI technology that interacts with you and provides check-in’s, daily challenges, beautiful quotes, and informative articles. There’s so much that this app offers. Check them out, it is worth it.

Finally, I’d like to share the book that has made a tremendous impact on my life this year. You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero. This book falls under the category of self-help and non-fiction. What I love about it is that it takes all the positive psychology teaching and presents it in a very casual and sometimes humorous way. Jen discusses various hot topics such as money, relationship with yourself and others, and at work. My favorite sections are in Chapter four, titled “How to Get Over Your B.S. Already.”

If you haven’t read this book yet, I highly recommend it. It will have you laughing out loud and motivate you to take action with any project or passion you have been placing on the sidelines. Listening to the audiobook adds a personal touch that makes it seem as though you’re listening to an old friend tell you about all the things you’ve been missing out this entire time. Check it out and let me know what you think. If you have any other recommendations feel free to share them below in the comments or share this post with a friend.
