Holiday Gift Ideas for Bookworms

Below is a list of my favorite products and apps that I have used for years and come to love. Some items would make great gifts either for yourself or the nerd in your family. 😊 Please note that as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases when you click and make purchases from the links below.

Panda Planners- These planners are super awesome! I love every Panda Planner made by this company. The paper quality is thick, so I never have issues with my gel pens bleeding through to the opposite page. I also love that the months, weeks, and days are sectioned separately, and are all undated. It’s probably the perfectionist in me that appreciates this the most. They also offer a wide variety of colors and sizes. Each planner also comes with a 10% discount for you and your family when using the ongoing promo code PANDAFAM. The promo code is also valid at Amazon checkout. The VIA planner is quiet unique and like no other planners I’ve found on the market that collaborates with the Institute of Character and Strengths, which is “considered to be among the most important outputs in positive psychology…” I’m currently using the Panda Planner venture for my business and absolutely love it.

The Paper Mate Gel InkJoy Pens, Medium Point- are my go-to pens, coupled with my Panda Planners. The point is so smooth when you’re writing, and the soft grips help reduce pressure on the fingers. These pens have never smeared, and I love the assortment of colors available.

Scribd- This was one app that I really would have like to know existed before Audible. This app allows you to read and listen to unlimited books. Unlike Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited, Scribd has newer books already available as an audiobook. For example, Sophie Kinsella’s new novel Christmas Shopoholic is already available as an audiobook! Scribd is a paid subscription service that costs $8.99 a month. As a bookworm who loves consuming books via audio, I highly recommend this for a Christmas gift to any bookworms out there.

Shine- I recently discovered this app. It came up as one of my recommended apps after I canceled my Calm subscription. I love Calm, but rarely used it the entire year I had it. So I decided to try something different. I love the positive messages and articles that I get in my inbox every day from Shine. It is very personable and has helped me cope with the stresses of life. Unlike Calm, Shine is not a meditation app, although it does provide the feature. Shine goes beyond by using AI technology that interacts with you and provides check-in’s, daily challenges, beautiful quotes, and informative articles. There’s so much that this app offers. Check them out, it is worth it.

Finally, I’d like to share the book that has made a tremendous impact on my life this year. You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero. This book falls under the category of self-help and non-fiction. What I love about it is that it takes all the positive psychology teaching and presents it in a very casual and sometimes humorous way. The author did a wonderful job keeping me engaged throughout the book. She discusses various hot topics such as money, relationship with yourself and others, and work. My favorite chapters are in part four, titled “How to Get Over Your B.S. Already.” If you haven’t read this book yet, I highly recommend it. It will have you laughing out loud and motivate you to take action with any projects or passions you have been placing on the sidelines. Listening to the audiobook adds a personal touch that makes it seem as though you’re listening to an old friend tell you about all the things you’ve been missing out this entire time. Check it out and let me know what you think. If you have any other recommendations feel free to share them below in the comments.
